Etnaland water park
Etnaland is a very comprehensive water park for the whole family…. boasting the largest wave pool in Europe backed by rocks and waterfalls. It presents a good number of slides and attractions, from classic anaconda, the river Slow going for braids, suicide bombers, routes on ribs and slide with jump.
For those just wanting to relax, there is the Laguna Blu pool, and the Laguna Bambini, a fully supervised children’s pool with mini slides, toboggan rides and lazy river.
The Kamikaze slides are a selection of high speed slides. The Twin Twisters are a set of four coloured tubes all twisted together so tossing and turning the riders before depositing them in the water. The Rafting River is a wide twisting ‘river’ bed which travels through mountains and carries the riders on five man rafts. The Wild River is a giant closed tube with light, laser and sound effects.
A gentle river ride on inflatable rafts can be taken on the Fiume Lento.
Other attractions at the park include the Crocodile Rapids, a nine man boat is propelled along the jungle river tackling the rapids and falls before entering the bat infested mine and finally enduring a crocodile attack. There is also a Dinosaur Park with models of prehistoric animals including TRex, mammoths and pterodactyls. A laser show runs periodically in the theatre telling the story of light using fogs, lasers, lights, sounds and other special effects and there is a 1800m cable ride for visitors to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the area.
Inside the park are several points that allow refreshment stop for a snack or a meal between an attraction to another.. also picnic areas with wooden tables and benches to use. Free parking at the large parking place. All this just 15km away from Catania.
